Book Title: Delirium

Author: Lauren Oliver

Publisher: Harper Collins

Number of pages:441

Genre: Fiction, romance, dystopian

What’s it about: overview

Delirium takes place in Portland, where society has declared that love is a disease and have made it illegal.  Lena lost her dad when she was really young and her mom committed suicide. When Lena finds out what love really is she discovers deep, dark secrets, and something that the society had hid from them. That love “kills you both when you have it and when you don’t.”

Notes and Opinions:

I love the idea of love being illegal, it’s definitely a twist in a story. It’s just one of those idiotic rules that are made to be broken and the way she had the plot advance was just amazing. I fell in love with Alex, he is a wonderful man, and a true lover. What I appreciated is that they found true, passionate, beautiful love without having sex. That is love!
